Etiquette that genuinely matters

• Keep chat friendly and in the table's language; abusing dealers or players breaks operator terms and can end in a chat ban.
• Bet inside the betting window. Once the timer closes the round is locked, and a late tap simply does not count.
• Do not ask the dealer which bet to make; dealers run the game and do not give wagering advice.
• Never post personal details, wallet numbers or referral links in chat.
• On public transport, keep the stream muted or use earphones; nobody nearby needs to hear the dealer calling results.
• At Filipino card tables such as Pusoy Go and Tongits Go, play at the table's pace instead of letting your timer run out every turn.
• After a disconnect, check your round history rather than arguing in chat; settlement rules are set by the operator.

Myth: the dealer can steer the result

Fact: live baccarat cards come from a multi-deck shoe shuffled under studio procedures and filmed throughout, and roulette results come from a physical wheel. In baccarat the third-card rule is fixed, so the dealer has no choice about who draws. Blaming or thanking the dealer is poor etiquette and has no bearing on the next hand.

Myth: the roadmap shows what is due

Fact: bead plates and big roads record past hands; they do not forecast future ones. Streaks turn up in random sequences all the time. Reading the road as history is fine. Raising your stake because a pattern looks due is the gambler's fallacy in its classic form. Roulette works the same way: after five reds in a row on a single-zero wheel, the next spin is still 18 in 37 for red, about 48.6%, exactly as before the streak.

Myth: Player beats Banker because Banker pays commission

Fact: the commission exists precisely because Banker wins slightly more often, and even after it Banker remains the cheaper bet. Under standard eight-deck punto banco rules with 5% commission, the long-run edges work out as below. Table rules differ, so check the payout panel where you sit.

Some no-commission tables pay only half on a Banker win with a total of six, which lifts Banker's edge to roughly 1.46%. Read that rule before assuming no commission means better terms.

Myth: tipping the dealer brings luck

Fact: where a table offers a tip button, the tip is a courtesy handled under rules the studio sets, and it has no connection to outcomes. Whether tipping is available varies by operator and studio. Count any tip as part of your session spend.

Myth: side bets are where sharp players find value

Fact: side bets such as pairs usually carry a far higher edge than the main bets. Blend them in and the cost of a session climbs. With 90% of stakes on Banker and 10% on a side bet at an assumed 10% edge, the blended edge is 0.9 × 1.06% + 0.1 × 10% ≈ 0.95% + 1.0% = 1.95%, close to double Banker alone.
